Scholarships available at Siena Heights University

Merit Based Scholarships

  • First Year Freshmen Scholarships are awarded to students with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA. Students who demonstrate a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA will be invited to compete at our Merit Scholarship Days on January 25 or February 15.
  • Transfer Scholarships are awarded to students with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA from the college(s) they are transferring from.
  • In addition to Merit Based Scholarships, students can be awarded other scholarships and grants Siena Heights University has to offer.

Fine & Performing Arts Scholarships (Art, Theater, Music)

  • For students majoring in art or theater or participating in the SHU Choir.
  • A portfolio review or audition is required before matriculation. See THIS LINK for dates when you can present your portfolio.
  • For consideration, students must meet the criteria for regular admission to the University.

Athletic Scholarships

  • For highly qualified athletes.
  • Scholarship amount is based on recommendation from the coach.

Campus Ministry Scholars Program (CMSP)

  • For students interested in deepening their spirituality and achieving a greater understanding of their Christian faith.
  • Students will work with the student body to build a campus faith community.
  • Graduates will be prepared for service or leadership at their own parish or church.

Art Program Mission Statement:
Studio Angelico, a community of artists and educators, stimulates, challenges, supports and educates students to become:

  • educated viewers with visual literacy and critical thinking,
  • professional artists with technical and creative direction,
  • thoughtful and responsible citizens in a global community.

We seek through dialogue and practice to work together within a liberal arts context to appreciate, understand and communicate the diversity and complexity of the human experience as expressed through the visual arts.
